Wellness Wednesday: Essential Oils

➻  Inhalation of lavender has been linked to falling asleep more quickly and sustaining a deep sleep   (Koulivand et. al, 2013). 😴

➻ 10% peppermint oil has been shown to be equally effective as aspirin and paracetamol in reducing headache intensity after 15 minutes when applied to the temples. (Gobel et. al, 1996).   😓

➻ The great thing about essential oils is that, when used as directed, the risk of experiencing side effects is very low.   😄

The skin is the largest organ in the body and will absorb nutrients directly into the blood stream.  Potent natural remedies like essential oils can help with all types of ailments when applied and dosed properly.  Always consult a trusted provider before integrating anything new to your regime, but definitely explore the amazing diffused or topical effects of essential oils to potentially avoid systemic side effects from synthetic drugs.

And they can be applied During a massage as well💆☺️😊
